Seeing the plain eventually land Shelbey looked up from her book Twyla and Kayleigh were asleep packing her book up in to her carry on bag she gently shook her sisters awake.
"Guys were here" she smiled stepping over them quickly. grabbing the other bags she flung them over her shoulder. making her way out side she was shocked to find that she was the first one out considering the way Kayleigh was going on back in Canada it was like it was a matter of life and death yet here she was tagging along behind her head down looking round nervously as if to say what the hell im i doing here. pulling up a taxi she grabbed Kayleigh's bags from her and helped her into the back of the taxi.
all the way to the hotel all three of them sat in silence Shelbey and Twyla looked at each other they hadn't seen her looking so scared and wound up not known what to do like she was since her husband had died. Wanting to brake the quietness Shelbey inched over a little bit and grabbed her sisters hand tightly in hers.
"Are you ok?" she asked turning her sisters head to look at her.
"Yeah im good why wouldn't i be im here i get to see John again dont i so im happy no need to worry about me sis see" she looked up trying to put on a brave face.About an hour later the taxi driver pulled up out side of the hotel they were staying in
"I cant get any closer im sorry they must be having some one important stay there oh well girls have a nice time and welcome to sweden"
"inga problem sir och tack du"
"ah you speak our language"
"ja" Kayleigh laughed "yes but its just a little""valkomna" the driver replied nodding as he took the change.
Turning round she noticed the looks on her sisters faces. "What i took it up in New York" she smiled walking ahead of them trying to get in as quick as she could to the hotel.
As Kayleigh was sorting out the rooms something caught her attention standing in the hall way was a group of men about their age a few years older but close to theirs a smile crossed her face giving Twyla a quick nudge she made her way over slowly.
"Joey, Ian, John, John, Mic" she called out coming to a stop behind them.
"Oh hey honey i wasnt expecting to see you here" Joey responded to her by giving her a hug.
"Hello Shelbey" John spoke up quietly from the chair in the corner. "How is your sister?" he asked
"Ask her yourself" she grinned "she's right over there shes missed you John shes really sorry for the way she acted shes hid herself away since you left"
"same with this one" Joey remarked "hes been moping around wishing he had of just gone after her that day instead of comeing back to sweden" he smiled "Go on then John""Right got our...." Kayleigh asked looking round and thats when her eyes locked with John's looking down quickly she went to walk off when Twyla grabbed her arm.
"Go to him sis i think hes wanting to see you" Twyla smiled giving her a little hug before pushing her over to his side.
"Kayleigh" John whispered quietly looking into her eyes"
"Hello John, how are you?" she asked feeling shy and really nervous.
"I am good you?""Feel like crap" she blurted out "is there any way we can talk alone?" she asked seeing everyone watching them.
"Sure come on" He smiled holding out his hand for hers.
"We'll take your bags sis" Twyla offered grabbing her bags staying put near Shelbey and the others.
Dropping the bags she followed John like a lost puppy back to his room, standing to aside he let her in and sat her down in the bed while he knelt on the floor in front of her gazing lovingly into her eyes.
"Kayleigh i have missed you so much all i have thought about was having you to hold im very sorry if i had sounded forward i have a bad habit of putting my foot in it"
"You didnt John it was me and i never realised until after you left that i wanted you just as much back, im so sorry i went on the way i did John, if there is still a chance... i would love to take it but i wanna get to know you more first" she smiled laying her hand on his cheek."I would like that too Kayleigh *holds out his hand after standing to his feet. "are the 3 of you staying here"
"Yes but were not in the same room i dont think"
"Do you want to stay with me and i swear i wont try anything" he asked "or i could just spend all night with you till you want to go to bed then come back here"
"Sounds perfect" Kayleigh smiled holding him close giving him a cuddle. "so you on tour now? or is this just like the odd gig here n there?"
"Just touring sweden then a few months later i am off out over to England and then after there we will be back home" he explained looking down at her brushing her hair back from her eyes. "Any one ever tell you how beautiful you really are" he complimented her as she went to walk over to the window.
"My husband he used to tell me everyday and then the illness took his life"
"I'm truly sorry, i know i could i never replace him but i will promise to always love you and be true to you"
Looking up at him her eyes stared right into his almost stumbling over the little stool at the foot of the bed she steadied herself and sat down on the bed.
"What did you just say?" asking him to repeat exactly what he just said she felt tears come to her eyes altho she wasnt married before she met gunner he said something very similar his voice replied over in the back of her mind and the day that they met.
"Kayleigh i might not have much money i might not live in a big fancy house but i will promise to always love you and me be true to you"
Repeating what he said Kayleigh got up from where she was sitting and looked him over running her fingers gently over his chest as he stood there smiling lovingly down at her. His perfect blue eyes shone like the ocean as the morning sun sparkled across the clear blue water his beautiful smile mirrored the exact same way Gunner did when he smiled his hair fell past his shoulders soft against the touch of her finger tips just like Gunners had was she just imagining it or had he come back to her it seemed such a silly thought but he was just like him in so many ways the way he held her his gaze when he locked eyes with her, the touch of his lips against hers it was so hard to believe but she couldn't help the way she felt. Looking into his eyes she felt something build up inside her something that she hadnt felt in such a long time as he took her in his arms once again the feeling of butterflies made her go week picking her up he held her close to him kissing her as he lay down on the bed. holding her close in his arms he smiled lovingly down at her then kissed her.
At that moment the whole world changed she didnt have a care in the world as she wrapped her arms round him feeling his lips against hers again made her shake holding her close to him he wrapped his arms strongly but gently keeping her as close to him as he could and kept on kissing her passionately. once again the she felt the happiness come back to her that she felt all those years ago when gunner held her like this and kissed her filling her with hope and love was this another chance for her to be happy opening her eyes she laid her hand on the side of his face running it slowly along the jaw line and keeping hey eyes locked with his.
"I love you John i hope we can make ago of this"
"We will babe we will make it thru anything and everything that tries to get in out way, the love i feel for you will never die baby my heart will always belong to you and i will always be by your side"
Curling up into his arms Kayleigh didnt want to move all she wanted to do was lie there and be wrapped up in his arms forever. This was a chance of a new start, she wasnt going to let it go and she certainly wasnt going to give up on him. Looking into into his eyes a huge smile crossed her face. "you know what screw it, im perfectly happy where i am" She laughed "im staying here" she giggled kissing John's neck. "well thats only if you want me here"
"are you crazy? of course i do baby" he laughed watching as she started to yarn and lay on his side pulling her as close to him as he can watching her drift to sleep.
