That afternoon everyone took their own little spot sitting on the top of the hill bottle of beer in their hands and laughing and joking around. laying down on the hill Shelbey walked over to her sisters side. "Mind if i join ya?" she asked
"Sure you really dont need to ask you know that" she smiled opening her eyes looking up at her sister, moving along the towel she say up and laid her head on her sisters shoulder.
"So how you enjoying being back home?"
"Truthfully? hate it the only good thing about being home is i get to see you, Twyla and the lads again but other than that everything just doesn't feel right". she sighed hoping that Shelbey wouldn't take that the wrong way.
"You have been away far to long, you know what you need?" Shelbey smiled laying her head against her sisters.
"No i don't wanna know but i have a good feeling your gonna tell me right?" Kayleigh sarcastically replied.
"Yes i am you need to find someone that cares for you someone to settle down with and someone who can be there for you when your lonely and cold and just need to be held"
"Shelbey i had that i had that with Gunner sis, he was taken from me and ill never love any one as much as i did him Gunner was everything to me he was my world my lover my best friend how can i replace that, what we had" she asked her sister looking into her eyes.
Thinking for a little while she put her arm round her sister and hugged her tightly.
"Sis i know how you felt i felt the same way about Jon and if i lost him id probably react the same way as you sis, but hun you cant go the rest of your life with out someone beside you to hold you when you need one to pick you up when your down and turn you round when your in the wrong direction" i might be younger than you sis but at least i know what im talking about" she said looking down at her.
"You think" laying down she put her head on her sisters lap looking up to the sky she lay quiet for a little bit then turned her head a little to look at her.
"Your right sis i know you are but who the hell is gonna want a woman who is widowed woman in her just turned 30 year old and who is more trouble that what she is worth"
"Now hey don't you dare talk about your self like that i never think that way about you and neither does Twyla " she scolded "We both love you so much we just want you to be happy Kayleigh" She replied.
Falling quiet Kayleigh sat back and wrapped her arms round her baby sister.
"Yeah i know im sorry sis i just don't think i will ever find any one else and if i do find someone else how will i know if i will ever be happy with him" she sounded worried as she scrunched herself up putting her head on her knees. putting a arm round her she cuddled into her sister.
"You wanna know how? because you have so much love to give some one, your scared to lose them and all you want is that someone in your life that's gonna be there, Gunner took ill and sadly he ... well he died that doesn't mean that's gonna happen to everyone you let in there's plenty of men that would jump at the chance of being with you, your smart, funny sexy what man wouldnt" she smiled.
"Your just saying that coz your my sister and you have no other choice in the matter"
"Well true, but im saying it as well because i love you and i mean every damn word of it" she assured her.
Looking over at Shelbey and Kayleigh Twyla smiled when Shelbey turned too look at her, going over to check the BBQ she noticed John sitting looking down the hill onto the valley that lay all round them turning every thing over she finished checking everything over and went too sit by him.
"Hey" she smiled.
"Hello Twyla" he smiled looking up from where he was originally looking. "How are you"
"Im good thank you, how are you, you enjoying Canada?" she asked.
"Yes very much it is beautiful round here"
"Yes it is i could never leave" Twyla admitted "I am very lucky Richie decided to leave New Jersey to come out here for me"
"Did he oh wow that is amazing he really loves you huh"
"Yeah he loves me very much i still cant get over that he just up'd and moved for me i keep thanking him for it and all i keep getting back is that he couldnt live there with out me and he would never dream of asking me to leave bless him Richie is my world and i would give up everything for him but hes so sweet, kind and understanding he moved all the way out here he hated it at first" she laughed "said it was too cold in the winter but he got used to it" Turning to look at him "Would you ever do that for someone you loved" she quizzed
"Well i live in a cold country so if i had to move somewhere like this then yes i would probably do it but if it was for a woman i loved so much i would do it in a heartbeat no thinking about it i love sweden but if i was in love with a woman my love for her would be greater than anything possible" he admitted "why"
"Oh no reason just thought id ask" Twyla replied getting up from where she sat "Come on" holding out her hand she helped him to his feet.
"Where are we going?" he asked her following her over to Shelbey and Kayleigh.
"Hey guys erm shel do you wanna help me with the BBQ"
"You just ...." raising her eye brow she moved her hand to the side n hinted for her to go with her.
"Oh ... oh yh sure" she smiled eventually getting the hint "leave you guys at it" she smirked.
"Wait what are you" she started to ask but her sisters had hurried off over to the others.
"So how you enjoying Canada?" she asked looking at him as he sat close beside her.
"You and your sisters all twins by any chance" he laughed
"Nope im the oldest then Twyla n then Shelbey" she giggled "how come?"
"Only your Twyla asked me the same thing just a few seconds ago then she told me about her and Richie" he told her laying down looking into the sky.
laughing Kayleigh lay down beside him and closed her eyes "You would actually think that you know we all think alike one of us hurt the other 2 will we all think of something n it all ways turns out well more or less always turns out that others were thinking the same thing were such a like its actually pretty scary" Kayleigh smiled. sitting up his eyes couldn't help but look her up and down her smile grabbed his attention trying hard to stop himself he put his hand o the other side of her laying over her he kissed her passionately. sitting up she looked into his eyes looking confused.
"Kayleigh im sorry i...."
Knocking him over onto his back she climbed on top of him. "You ever do that again and ill.... " stop in the middle of her sentence she looked down in his eyes then leaned over and kissed him back.
holding her close to him he held her in his arms and kissed her neck. "be mine" he whispered "I have so much love to give but no one to give it too"
Looking in his eyes she didn't know what to think, John would be gone soon and then what would she do she couldn't move because then she would be even further away from gunner. getting up she stood looking down at him as he sat up and backed up.
"Kayleigh don't go please im sorry i .... " watching her turn round and run he wanted to go after her but Shelbey grabbed his hand.
"She will come round hun give it a while"
"a while Shelbey i leave tomorrow night tell her im sorry i never meant to up set her" walking down the hill he got into his car and drove off back to the hotel.
Back at the house that night Twyla walked into her sisters room just as she was getting into bed.
"Hey sis what happened to day huh"
"I screwed up there do me a favour never want to be like me coz all i ever do is fuck up all the god damn time dont look up to me or anything" slumping under the blankets she pulled the pillow covering her face with it.
"For god sake kayleigh dont be stupid yes i look up to you your my big sister you know i always will"
"Big mistake in your half then" Kayleigh muttered.
"Oh god kayleigh take that off face now" Twyla scolded. seeing that she was taking no notice she grabbed the pillow n hit her with it. "Sit up and listen to me right now"
opening her eyes she looked at twyla in shock. she had never lost her temper with her ever sitting up she didnt want to anger her any more than she all ready had.
"Right now i have your attention do you know what happened to day?? huh yes you screwed up so does everyone but if you hadnt realised that man had falling head over heels for you and you let him leave"
"What am i supposed to do huh the dude is swedish he lives in sweden he going back tomorrow n besides once he is back there he will forget all about me"
Folding her arms she looked disgusted at her sister. "Dont you dare sit there and tell me for one second that you believe that shit? coz if you do im gonna smack the sence back into you, John is crazy about you now get off your ass get in that car and go to his hotel now"
"Now??? are you... have you seen the damn time?"
"So do you have any love for that man or not? because he has loads of it for you, theres nothing that man would not do for you" she snapped now get your tail out of bed and go see him"
"No ill go tomorrow" she argued turning over pulling the blankets up over her head.
"No huh?" grinning twyla got off the bed walked round to the side lifted the mattress and tipped the bed over sending her sister flying. "Now get your ass up get out that damn door and get your tail out to the hotel and tell him you want him just as much"
staring at her sister not amused she went to argue back.
"Now" she jumped in before getting the chance to do so. Not wanting to argue any more she smiled flung her arms round her sisters neck, got dressed and ran out the door into her car and bolted off to the hotel.
"Hey im looking for John N.."
"I know who you are looking for and he left all ready"
"What when" she started to panic
"This morning when he got in from where ever it was"
"Oh no he left because of me oh no what .... falls down in the chair looking down at the floor she didnt see her sister walk in after her.
"Sis?"
"He's gone Twyla and its all my fault how am i gonna get to him now" Kayleigh sighed feeling really annoyed with her self.
"Oh sis im sorry if i had known he was leaving oh sis". curling up in her arms Twyla hugged her sister comforting her as she lay shaking in tears.
